Royal Trekking

The Royal Trekking is one of the short trek that follows path along the foothills of Annapurna and north of the Pokhara valley. In fact, this Trek is named Royal because Prince Charles and his 90 person entourage had explored this route in the early eighties. Royal Trekking provides the opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences with the diverse mix of peoples and cultures that inhabit this region. Well, the journey of Royal trek begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara passes through beautiful Gurung hamlets. During the trek, you will be able to enjoy stunning views of the eloquently built hillside rice terraces and the magnificent Machapuchhre Himal, Annapurna range, and the Lamjung Mountain views. Our trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City. Royal trekking trip is basically suggested for beginners who are restricted by time to trek longer. Actually, Royal trek presents a true picture of

uniqueness and allowing us the chance to capture the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years. And compared to other trekking areas in Annapurna region Royal trekking route is less crowded hence you can get more close to nature and culture.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), our representatives from Motherland Hike Team will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and Trek Preparation Today, you will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. In the morning you visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest Hindu temple, Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess.

Day 03: Drive/Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara Duration will depend on the choice of private vehicle (approximately 7 hours with breaks) or by flight (30 minutes). Arrive Pokhara lakeside and transfer to hotel. Depending on arrival time, may be opportunity to explore surrounding areas. We will stay overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Trek from Pokhara to Kalikasthan Today, after breakfast we drive to Bijayapur Khola to begin our trek. At first we start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. Then, the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. After arriving at Kalikasthan, we rest for some time and after that explore the surrounding areas and overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek from Kalikasthan to Syaklung Today, after taking our breakfast, we will start walking through the villages. Well, we will be walking along the ridge of the mountain which offers good views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. We can explore many villages and its locals along with the rhododendron forests. We will stay overnight at Syaklung in local guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek from Syaklung to Chisapani Walking through the Gurung village gives an opportunity to watch the local villagers’ lifestyle. Today, we move ahead playing game of hide and seek with the rhododendron and Sal trees. Then, following the ascending trail, we will arrive at Chisapani. Well, this is the best view point at which to see the Himalayan Panorama. We will see Dhaulagiri to the west of Annapurna. We will stay overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek from Chisapani to Pokhara Today we walk half way down the hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. We will walk 15 minutes down to Begnas Tal for an hour boating to catch the transfer to Pokhara and on arrival at hotel check in and rest of the time explore the lake side and overnight at hotel

Day 08: Pokhara City Sightseeing This day we visit the Pokhara valley. It is the beautiful city which is god gifted with the natural beauty. We visit Mahendra Cave, Davis Falls, Fewa Lake, world peace pagoda etc. Overnight, we will stay in guesthouse in Pokhara.

Day 09: Fly/Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu Today, we will catch our early morning returning flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes about 35 minutes to reach Kathmandu. Or we can take a drive to Kathmandu which takes around 7-8 hours. At the remaining time, you can explore the Kathmandu city or you can go for shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the farewell dinner with our trekking crew.

Day 10: Final Departure You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
