Short Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel (Evening Yoga)

Day 02: Half Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation(Evening Yoga)

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2804m) and trek to Phakding (2610m) – 3 Hours overnight stay at lodge

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3441m) – 5 Hours Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar overnight stay at lodge

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tenboche Monastery at (3’842m.) about 5 hours Trek Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Khumjung at (3’985m 13’074ft.) about 5 hours Trek Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 08: Trek from Khumjung to Monjo at (2850m.) about 4 hours Trek Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 09: Trek from Monjo to  Lukla at (2860.) about 5 hours Trek Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 10: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu overnight stay at Hotel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

The representatives from Motherland Hiking Team will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02: Half Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and brief about Everest base camp Trek.

Today, you will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. In the morning you visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest and holiest Hindu temple; Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2804m) and trek to Phakding (2610m) – 3 Hours

We get transferred to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu Domestic Airport this morning to catch our scheduled morning flight to Lukla. After 30 minute long adventurous flight above the breathtaking scenario of Himalayas, we land on the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. Lukla is going to be the starting point of our trek. We meet our porters and other crew members and start trekking towards Phadking, which takes around three hours. We stay overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today, after taking our morning breakfast, we walk through the pine forest along the Dudh Koshi River. On the way, we enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Thamserku. We come to the check post and entrance to Sagarmatha National Park via the settlements of Benkar and Monjo. Passing through the village of Jorsale, we finally reach at Namche which is the gateway to Mount Everest. We stay overnight at Namche.

Day 05: Rest day in Namche Bazzar or Visit Khumjung & Syangboche

Today will be our first day of acclimatization. You are suggested to stay active and moving during rest days. So, we either spend a taking a day’s hike to Khumjung and Syangboche villages. We can explore Namche bazaar itself either. Namche Bazaar is the main center of Everest Region has many government offices, Banks, ATMs, restaurants, Internet Cafes and many more. We stay overnight in the hotel at Namche.

Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops as well as a magnificent outlook that seems to meet western standards, even at this remote mountain outpost. The amazing Sherpa folks down here have learnt a lot from the big expeditions that have passed this way. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Tengboche. Options for acclimatization walks include a visit to Khunde hospital which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or a one hour walk up to the Everest view hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. There are also good views from the national park centre and museum just above the town. We have a nice time at Namche and then settle in for the night.

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tengboche Monastery (3860m) – 5 Hours

We continue trekking along the rushing glacial waters of DudhKoshi, which eventually brings us to Tengboche. You can visit the local monastery and can also get the opportunity to observe the prayer ceremony either in the morning or evening. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Tengboche –Khumjung at (3’786m. 12’221ft.) about 6 hours Trek

From Tengboche we descend to the bridge over the Dudh Kosi at Phunki Tenga, where there are water driven prayer wheels, before making our way to Khumjung Sherpa village which is popular trekking original Sherpa Culture.

Day 08: Trek from Khumjung  to Monju (2865m) – 5 Hours

From Khumjung, we return back to Monju. With this, we mark end of our trekking. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek from Monju to Lukla(2865m) – 5 Hours

From Khumjung, we return back to Lukla. With this, we mark end of our trekking. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

We get the scheduled morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. On arriving Kathmandu, you can take your time to go for your last minute shopping or you can choose to explore the city even more. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Final Departure

We are saying good bye to the Kathmandu as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
